Choose an image with a clear subject and enough visual calm for the written section to feel connected. A photo that already tells part of the story works better than a collection of unrelated details.
Write for the image
Use the title to name the moment, then keep the reflection to one short paragraph. A date, place, or small signature can go in the footer. The goal is to preserve the memory, not fit an entire article on the canvas.
Choose a layout that supports the photo
Place text below the photo for a familiar journal-page rhythm. Put text above when the title should introduce the scene, or use an overlay only when the photograph has a quiet area with reliable contrast.
Pick the destination size
- 1:1 square is a flexible choice for feeds and profile grids.
- 4:5 portrait gives the photo and reflection more vertical room in a feed.

Check before you export
Read the text once at preview size, confirm that faces and important details are not cropped, and check spelling in the title and footer. Export the current PNG, or download all three sizes when you plan to share the journal in more than one place.
